AREA GETS GOVERNMENT CASH FOR NEW ROAD IMPROVEMENTS

THE M1 from Luton to Junction 13 is to be widened to 4 lanes in an attempt to keep the traffic flowing into London.
The idea seems to be that under the new housing plans for Milton Keynes they expect a lot more traffic in the area.

The A421 is to be duelled from Junction 13, so that the traffic can get to the Asda round about in Kempston much quicker and create a two lane traffic jam instead of just the one.
Well there is a lot more to say on this topic but this is a starter for 10

80 Houses are planned for Lidlington
Work is expected to start next year.
This is probably just the start of a larger building program
to help meet government housing targets for the area.
Lidlington has all the qualities that meet the government criteria. The railway station is being upgraded in preparation of an increase in demand.
   New roads are being discussed

The construction of the proposed Bedford to Milton Keynes canal would make the area more desirable to many
According to the waterways web site the route of the canal goes through the allotments and divides the village
As with many other villages, developers have had Lidlington under a spot light for several years to secure any potential building land.
I believe that in a few years time, plans will be advanced and a great deal more housing will be in the pipe line
So keep an eye on things if you want to buy property in Lidlington, a property hot spot.
